Where are the rankings?

What are dual team rankings?

Dual team rankings measure how strong a wrestling team is based on the individual rankings of their wrestlers. We take the average of the team’s top 11 wrestlers and adjust based on head-to-head dual meet results.

What makes a wrestler “eligible”?

A wrestler must have competed within 21 days of the team’s most recent event. If your team’s last dual was December 15th, only wrestlers who competed between November 24th and December 15th are eligible.

How do H2H adjustments work?

When a lower-ranked team beats a higher-ranked team, the winner gets a positive adjustment (credit for the upset) and the loser gets a negative adjustment (penalty for losing to a weaker team). The adjustment amount is: (Higher Score − Lower Score) ÷ 2

Why don’t I get credit for beating a team ranked below me?

Beating a lower-ranked team is expected. H2H adjustments only reward upsets where you beat someone ranked higher than you.

Why did my ranking go down after we won a dual?

Your ranking can decrease if: (1) A lower-ranked team that you lost to earlier processed their win against you, (2) Your wrestlers’ individual rankings dropped, or (3) A wrestler became ineligible (hasn’t competed in 21+ days).

What’s the difference between Full Strength and Active Roster?

Active Roster includes only eligible wrestlers (competed within 21 days of team’s last event). Full Strength includes all wrestlers who have competed this season, regardless of recent activity. We use Full Strength for H2H calculations so past wins aren’t affected by current injuries.

Why is a team with a worse record ranked higher than us?

Dual record alone doesn’t determine ranking. A team could have: higher-ranked individual wrestlers (better Top 11 average), quality wins against highly-ranked opponents, or losses only to top-tier teams (no penalty for losing to higher-ranked teams).

Trackwrestling/NWCA Registration: Click here to sign up your team and pay for the season
- Trackwrestling will email each AD/Coach on record from last year.
- Click on the link provided in the email to log in.
- After logging in, online payments are available by clicking on the Weight Management tab.
- Assessments cannot be completed until the school has paid the $30 registration fee for the system.
- For schools competing in girls-only events, you must also register for a girl’s account. If you allow girls to compete with the boys, you will enter your girls on your boy’s and girl’s accounts.
