Click It or Ticket

The NCHSAA is pleased to announce a continued partnership with the “Click It or Ticket” initiative, part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP), as our Official "Click or Ticket" Partner in 2019. The GHSP is a division of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and is dedicated to promoting highway safety awareness to reduce the number of traffic crashes and fatalities in the state of North Carolina through the planning and execution of safety programs, including “Click It or Ticket.”

There are various ways that your high school can become involved in this program which will run from January 2019 through December 2019. Learn about the Governor's Highway Safety Program Scholar Athlete Program here.

Click It or Ticket Promposal Contest

It's Prom season and you know what this means.....clever "asks" will be happening all across the State. We want to see how creatively students can incorporate the Click it or Ticket messaging into their Promposals.

Students must tag @NCHSAA and use #ClickitorTicketPROM on each post. NCHSAA staff will collect all Click it or Ticket Promposal posts and will select the top three Promposals every two weeks (4/3/19, 4/17/19, 5/1/19).

The person who submits each of the top three selected Promposals [during the three 2 week periods] will receive a VISA gift card to use towards Prom expenses (dinner, flowers, transportstaion, etc.), courtesy of the NCHSAA. 1st place: $100; 2nd place: $75; 3rd place: $50. A total of $675 will be awarded. At the conclusion of the contest, the Promposals for the three (3) 1st place recipients will be voted on via a social media poll and the overall winner will receive a grandprize.

Remember, students must tag @NCHSAA and use #ClickitorTicketPROM to be considered. Get your creative juices flowing and remember, #ClickitorTicket!
