The NCHSAA is pleased to continue the “Click It or Ticket” initiative, part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP), a division of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). It is dedicated to promoting highway safety awareness to reduce the number of traffic crashes and fatalities in North Carolina through the planning and execution of safety programs, including “Click It or Ticket.” This effort currently includes elements such as state tournament game safety messaging, scholar-athlete recognition, and activities that engage students in communicating the importance of every passenger in every car using seat belts every time. Focus continues on “Backseat Buckle Up” messaging.

Good sportsmanship has been a cornerstone of the NCHSAA for years, and NC Farm Bureau Insurance thinks it’s important, too! NCFBI is a “State Tournament Game” sponsor and the Official Sportsmanship Supporter for the NCHSAA and is involved in numerous initiatives, including the Heart of a Champion Luncheon, the Homer Thompson 8 Who Make a Difference platform, the Ejection-free Schools initiative, and the Sportsmanship Awards, provided at NCHSAA State Tournament Game finals.

In-kind donors work with NCHSAA to provide in-kind services and/or products to assist with the Association’s particular needs at specific State Tournament Games and events.   

Atrium Health is a medical provider during Cross-Country and Individual Wrestling State Tournament Games.

The North Carolina Chapter of USA Lacrosse provides volunteer manpower for the culminating Lacrosse State Tournament Games.

The NFHS Network covers numerous different “State Tournament Game” events and other high school activities, celebrating the accomplishments of student-athletes, student broadcasters, and high schools across the country.

Partnered with the National Federation of State High School Associations, 44+ high school state athletic/activities associations, and PlayOn!, the NFHS Network is a joint venture created to allow fans to stream high school sports on any device, from any location!
