This Day In NCHSAA History

March 2, 2013 On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Winston-Salem Parkland won its seventh state tournament team title in two different classifications in the last eight years in winning the NCHSAA state 4-A team tournament title in action at the Greensboro Coliseum.  Parkland scored 133 points to 112 for Fayetteville Jack Britt.

This Day In NCHSAA History

February 27, 1950             On this day in history in the NCHSAA, a special women's high school basketball challenge doubleheader, featuring four of the state's top teams, was held at Reynolds Coliseum. Benhaven downed Aberdeen 52-46 and Salemburg beat Cary 44-28. The crowd, by some estimates, was in the range of 6,000.
