3A Swimming & Diving Championship Recap: Marvin Ridge sweeps men’s and women’s in dominating fashion

CARY, N.C – Marvin Ridge women opened the 3A Swimming and Diving State Championship meet with a huge win in the Women’s 200 Medley Relay and didn’t look back on their way to a fourth straight state championship. The Mavericks men’s team made things a little more interesting than their female counterparts, but not much more, as the Maverick men won two of the three relay events on their way to the Men’s first state championship in the sport in school history.

4A Swimming & Diving Championship Recap: South Mecklenburg men and Hough women take home the hardware

CARY, N.C. – The South Mecklenburg men’s team took home their third straight 4A state championship as they held off Hough 279-208 by taking two of the three relay events at the meet. The Hough women nabbed their second straight title led by Jennifer Giacalone who won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 474.40.

1A/2A Swimming & Diving Championship Recap: Pine Lake Prep Women, Washington Men capture championships

CARY, N.C. – The Pine Lake Prep women dominated the 1A/2A Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, as the team won two of the three relays on the day to win the school’s second straight state championship in the sport. On the men’s side Washington cruised to their second straight championship by winning two of the three relays as well.
