CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association indoor track championships will be held at the JDL Fast Track this weekend in Winston-Salem. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the championships will be held at this site.
The teams will compete in 3 separate championships with 4A and 3A each having their own field, while 1A and 2A are competing together.
JDL Fast Track, one of the premier indoor track and field facilities in the Southeast, is the brainchild of two former Wake Forest University runners and current real estate developers, David Shannon and Craig Longhurst, who identified and fulfilled a need for an area indoor track facility for use by colleges, high schools, local track clubs and youth track organizations.
This year’s meets will begin with the 3A championships on Friday, February 12 at 4 pm. Saturday, February 13 the 1A/2A championships will begin at 9 am, followed by the 4A championships at 4 pm. Both field and running events will begin at the designated times for each classification.
Admission to the championships is $8.00.
