Championship Format

Singles (6 Matches)

  • A three-minute break is permitted before the tiebreaker; players may not leave the court to confer with coaches.

Doubles (3 Matches)

  • Eight-game pro set.
  • Played after singles following a 15-minute break.
  • If tied at the end of the pro set, a 7-point tiebreaker (win by 2) will determine the winner.

Match Completion

  • Once a team earns five points and clinches the match, play is stopped immediately.
  • Scores of matches in progress will stand as recorded at the time play is halted.

Coaching

  • Coaching is permitted only after odd-numbered games (excluding Game 1).
  • Only designated high school coaches may coach (maximum of two coaches).
  • Coaches must remain outside the fence and may not enter the court.
  • Coaching may occur during the 90-second changeovers and must not interfere with play or distract opponents.

Reporting Scores

Players must report their individual match scores to the tournament director immediately following the conclusion of each match.

Lineups

Lineups are based on each team’s playoff lineup sheet. If a player is unavailable, all players below that position move up one spot. Coaches should meet with the tournament director before the match to exchange official lineups.
