Students Can Earn National Student Credential Through NFHS Learning Center

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Students across the country can now earn a nationally recognized credential that highlights their leadership skills, personal growth, and positive contributions to interscholastic programs and school communities.

With the recent launch of the NFHS Learning Center course “Student Mental Wellness,” students are now eligible to earn the new NFHS National Student Credential.

How to Earn the Credential

After completing the following core online NFHS Learning Center courses, students will receive a certificate and an NFHS Learning Center badge.

In addition to helping students develop valuable life skills, the credential provides a nationally recognized achievement that can be included on resumes, college applications, and scholarship submissions.

“The number of students taking coursework at the NFHS Learning Center continues to increase, and we look forward to providing additional opportunities for young people to learn and grow,” said Dan Schuster, NFHS director of educational services. “We are excited to introduce this first-of- its-kind national student credential to students throughout the United States.”

The NFHS believes interscholastic programs play an important role in preparing students for life, and the NFHS National Student Credential supports that mission by helping students develop knowledge that will benefit them during their school years and beyond.

Since its founding nearly 20 years ago, the NFHS Learning Center has developed online courses addressing key issues in high school sports and activities nationwide. More than 29 million courses have been delivered through the platform.
