JACKSONVILLE—Jeff Cobb has been named as the new head football coach at White Oak High School, according to a report in the Jacksonville Daily News.
Cobb, 43 years old, is a graduate of Jacksonville High School who most recently had taught and served as an assistant football coach at Northside as well as coaching wrestling and women’s soccer. Prior that he had been the head football coach at Richlands.
Cobb has also served on the football staffs at Jacksonville and Southwest Onslow. He will teach physical education at White Oak.
White Oak posted a 4-7 record a year ago under former head coach Chad Ashley.
