West Stokes Names New Women’s Basketball Coach

        KING– Nick Frye has been named the new head women’s basketball coach for at West Stokes High School, according to a release from the school.

        He will replace two-year head coach John Ayers, who has resigned for physical health reasons.

       The 36-year-old Frye is a graduate of Appalachian State University who earned his masters in physical education from North Carolina A&T State University. He has been a physical education teacher at West Stokes for the past 14 years.

       Frye is a former head coach for the men's varsity basketball team for four years, from 2003 to 2007,  and has assisted in both the men's and women's programs.

      He also serves as the sponsor for the West Stokes Fellowship of Christian Students.
