WEEK 7 | 2023-24 ORTHOCAROLINA PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media and school administrators for their outstanding performance.  

The OrthoCarolina Performers of the Week for week seven of NCHSAA competition are Kiera Wilson from Mountain Heritage High School and Jay Jackson from North Stanly. 

Wilson, a senior outside hitter, had 29 kills in 46 attacks last week to go along with five blocks as the Cougars split their two matchups. Wilson now has 160 kills this season. 

Jackson, a senior running back, scored six times as the Comets beat Lake Norman Charter 57-20. Jackson ran for 210 yards on 18 carries and had three catches for 72 yards.

North Stanly is now 5-2 on the year.
