GOLDSBORO — A veteran of many years of high school basketball coaching, Randy Tilley, on Thursday, according to reports in several newspapers. He was 57 years old.

A resident of Mount Olive, he began his coaching career at Wayne Country Day School but spent a number of years as head coach at both Goldsboro and Southern Wayne.

A Service to Celebrate his life will be at 6 p.m. this evening at Unity Baptist Church, 489 N.C. Hwy. 55 East, Mount Olive,  with visitation afterward. 

Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
