Become Our Next Game of the Week Partner School!

Take the Pledge to prevent underage drinking and empower student-athletes to be winners on and off the field of play.

Talk it Out NC, the North Carolina initiative to prevent underage drinking, is excited to partner with NCHSAA for Game of the Week during the 2024-2025 school year. This meaningful program fosters positive conversations with young athletes about the importance of avoiding underage drinking.

2023-2024 Participants

A local Talk it Out NC Ambassador will visit participating schools during practice or before a game to share educational resources and meet with coaches and student-athletes for an inspiring talk. Presentations usually last anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Participating host-school or athletic department must allocate time for a Talk it Out NC Ambassador to speak with the teams and attend the event, enhancing the impact of the campaign.
  • Commitment to display the Talk it Out NC banner throughout the year, further promoting the cause to students.
  • The participation of teams from both involved schools is required, if the event is a game or other competition. Both participating teams must agree to all the campaign terms to ensure a unified effort. Customized campaign terms are available to fit your event.
  • A Talk it Out NC banner will be displayed throughout the school year, showcasing your commitment to preventing underage drinking.
  • Pledge Cards for coaches and athletes, encouraging them to take a stand against teenage drinking.
  • “Alcohol’s Effect on Athletic Performance” educational handouts.
  • Up to a $250 stipend per participating school to recognize your Athletic Department’s commitment to the Talk it Out NC mission.
