Kim joined the NCHSAA staff in April 2024 as the Executive Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. Before her time with the NCHSAA, she taught in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and Guilford County Schools.
A native of South Carolina, Kim attended Lander University, where she received her degree in education. She moved to North Carolina and taught in Guilford County for over 25 years. She finished her career teaching in Chapel Hill for five years before retiring. Kim has coached recreational youth sports and middle school softball. She volunteered for over 20 years in high school athletics and sponsored the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Women Athletes in Action.
Kim and her husband, Lewis, reside in Alamance County and have four children. She enjoys reading, walking, hiking, biking, and camping outdoors.
