Southern Alamance Names Surratt To Women’s Hoops Post

GRAHAM—Amy Surratt has been named the new women’s basketball coach at Southern Alamance High School, according to the Burlington Times-News.

Surratt comes to Southern Alamance after serving as head coach at Wake Forest-Rolesville.  She also has coached junior varsity basketball and assisted with the varsity men’s program at McDowell for five years. She is originally from Kentucky and attended Mars Hill College, where she played basketball.

Surratt will replace Chris Miller, who guided the team as interim coach last year and posted a 22-6 record.   Miller will continue as the head softball coach and a football assistant coach.
