CHAPEL HILL— The North Carolina chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame has announced its annual Hall of Fame Day banquet.

Six outstanding individuals from the sport of wrestling in the state will be honored at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill on Sunday, May 20, with the dinner starting at 5 p.m.

William Eccles, Matt Lynch, Billy Puckett, Butch Ross Jr., Mike Stanbridge and Dick Wince will be recognized with awards for Lifetime Service to Wrestling. They will be permanently honored at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum located in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Rex Wells of Asheville High School serves as the president of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.
