Robertson Headed To Eastern Guilford

GIBSONVILLE—Doug Robertson, who led Reidsville to a North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championship in 2010, has been named as the new head football coach at Eastern Guilford, according to various media reports, including the Burlington Times- News and the Greensboro News and Record.

Robertson goes to Eastern Guilford after one year as head coach at Person, where the Rockets were 3-8 in Robertson’s only season there after getting one win in 2011.

The 36-year-old Robertson, a Reidsville resident , posted a record of 36-7 as head coach at Reidsville. He is a 1999 graduate of Guilford College who spent 11 years on the staff at Reidsville, including a stint as defensive coordinator. Before that, he had two years as a graduate assistant at Delta State University, which won an NCAA Division II national championship.

Robertson will replace David Hines at Eastern Guilford, who coached one season tat the Guilford County school.
