Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.
This week the NCHSAA recognizes Ethan Snyder from Marvin Ridge High School. Snyder a Senior on the Indoor Track & Field team competed in the prestigious Virginia Showcase Indoor Track & Field event last week. He finished 2nd in the two-mile run with a 9:08.40 which is currently the #2 time in the U.S and #1 in NC. Snyder also finished 8th in the one-mile race with a time of 4:21.30 which is currently #3 all time for NC.
We also recognize Anna Taylor, a Junior at Princeton High school for his outstanding performance for the Women’s Basketball team last week! Taylor scored 45 of the teams 69 points in their win Friday night. She shot 10 for 14 from 3-point range and finished with a 76% field goal percentage. Taylor also contributed 7 steals and grabbed 3 rebounds.
