A brand new high school has named its initial head football coach, according to media reports including HighSchoolOT.com.
Jermaine Evans, currently an assistant at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, has been chosen to be the first head coach at the new Rolesville High School. Rolesville will open in August of 2013 with just freshmen and sophomores and is scheduled to field only a junior varsity football team this fall.
Evans is a native of Raleigh who played high school football at Ravenscroft and then attended Elon University, where he was a four-year defensive back. He has been in teaching and coaching for 10 years, including the last seven at Millbrook.
The school also recently announced its mascot and colors. Rolesville teams will be known as the Rams and the colors will be cardinal red, black and silver.
