North Carolina Soybean Producers Association Partners with NCHSAA to Support High School Athletics and Highlight the Power of Soy

RALEIGH, N.C.— The North Carolina Soybean Producers Association (NCSPA), representing more than 4,000 soybean farmers across the state, is proud to partner with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) as an official sponsor of the 2025–2026 athletic season. Through this partnership, the NCSPA celebrates the hard work and dedication of North Carolina’s student-athletes.

As part of the partnership, the NCSPA will sponsor the state football championship, the men’s and women’s basketball championships, and an additional spring championship event, connecting North Carolina’s farm families with fans and athletes across the state.

“We’re proud to support North Carolina’s high school athletes and the communities that cheer them on,” said Charles Hall, Executive Director of the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association. “Just like these athletes, our farmers put in long hours, show up every day, and work hard for something bigger than themselves. This partnership is about celebrating that shared commitment to growth, resilience, and excellence.”

“The NCHSAA is excited to welcome the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association as a partner. In collaboration, we recognize and highlight the grassroots, community nature of education-based high school athletics and our student-athletes for their commitment to excellence and dedicated efforts throughout the school year,”
NCHSAA Commissioner, Que Tucker

Soybeans are a nutritional powerhouse—rich in plant-based protein that helps build and repair muscles, along with essential nutrients that support the growth and development of teen athletes. From protein shakes to snacks and meal ingredients, soy helps athletes stay strong both on and off the field.

Beyond nutrition, soy is a renewable and environmentally friendly resource. Soybean oil is used in sustainable products such as cleats, turf grass, and sports equipment, reducing environmental impact while supporting American-grown crops.

“Soybeans are one of North Carolina’s most versatile crops,” says Hall. “They provide protein and nutrients that help keep athletes strong and energized, while also producing renewable materials that make sports more sustainable. It’s a perfect example of how agriculture touches every part of our lives.”

95% of farms in the state are family-owned and operated. Through this partnership, those farm families are proud to give back to those communities they call home!

For nearly 60 years, the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association has worked to advance research, education, and market development for the state’s soybean farmers. By teaming up with the NCHSAA, NCSPA continues its mission to connect agriculture with communities and promote the power of soy—from the soil to the stadium.
