CARY—Mike Kirst has been named as the new head football coach at Cary High School, according to a number of media reports.
Kirst comes to Cary after eight seasons at Millbrook, where he was most recently offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
The new Cary coach is a native of Phoenix and played college football at the University of Redlands in California, graduating in 2003 and then earning a master’s degree in 2005.
He will replace Kurt Glendenning. The Imps were 0-11 a year ago.
