RALEIGH—The only head football coach in Heritage High School history is leaving the Wake County school, according to a report on HighSchoolOT.com.

       Jason McGeorge, who has guided the football program at Heritage since the school’s opening in 2010, will be leaving to take a position in the private sector.

       McGeorge came to help open Heritage after serving as an assistant coach at Leesville Road. 

       Heritage played a junior varsity schedule in its initial year and then has made the NCHSAA playoffs three times in the four varsity seasons it has competed.
