MAIDEN– Caine Houser, athletic director at Maiden High School, has announced that Danny Anderson will be the new head men’s basketball coach at Maiden, according to a press release from the school.
Anderson will replace Pat Kahny, who has been the head coach for the last three years for the Blue Devils and had stepped down from the position.
Houser said, “Maiden High welcomes Mr. Danny Anderson as our new Head Coach. Coach Anderson will be leaving his current position at West Caldwell High School. He brings 32 years of varsity coaching experience to us. Coach Anderson's extensive resume since 1982 includes 644 wins and 216 losses and three state championship runner-up teams for the years of 1994, 1999 and 2010. Every team he has coached has made the state playoffs."
Houser went on to say that “Danny Anderson is a proven winner at this level of play. He is charged with turning around a program that has not reached our level of expectation for several years. We are very fortunate to find a men's coach of this caliber to take over our basketball program.”
