LONG CONFERENCE WINNING STREAK
IN SOFTBALL IS FINALLY SNAPPED
A lengthy consecutive game winning streak in softball has finally been snapped, according to various media reports including the Wake-Franklin Weekly.
Wake Forest-Rolesville had rolled up 143 consecutive conference victories over a 12-year span, but the streak was finally snapped on Tuesday night as Heritage scored a 2-1 victory in a Cap Eight Conference contest.
Interestingly enough, the Heritage softball coach is Paige Quate, who played for Wake Forest-Rolesville in high school and helped build the winning streak. Doug Kinsman is the WF-R coach, who coached Quate in high school.
Congratulations to Wake Forest-Rolesville for its long winning streak and to Heritage for a dramatic victory.
