LEESVILLE ROAD BASEBALL PLAYER
HITS TWO GRAND SLAMS IN ONE GAME
RALEIGH– A Leesville Road High School baseball player has added his name to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association record book.
Justin Wheeler hit two grand slams in Tuesday night’s game against Enloe as the Pride rolled to an 18-3 triumph.
Wheeler hit one in the first inning and then connected on another in the fourth in the Cap Eight contest.
Wheeler became the ninth baseball player documented to have hit two grand slams in a game involving NCHSAA teams. He was hitting just .243 entering the game.
The Raleigh News and Observer authenticated the achievement.
