Jacksonville Basketball Coach Going Back To Ohio

JACKSONVILLE— Jacksonville High School head men’s basketball coach Mike Ark is heading back to his home state, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.

Ark, who grew up in Ohio, is leaving the Onslow County school have six years as the head basketball coach. He will take over the same job at Solon High School in Ohio, only about a half hour’s drive from where he grew up outside Cleveland.

The Cardinals’ best season under the 40-year-old coach came in 2009 when Jacksonville went 23-5 overall.
