Hough Has New Football Coach

         CORNELIUS—Miles Aldridge has been named the new head football coach at Hough High School, according to a report in the Charlotte Observer.

         Aldridge, who has more than 30 years of coaching experience at about every level, including high school, college and the National Football League, has been head coach for the last four years at Spring Valley High in Columbia, S.C.

            Aldridge was an assistant coach in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and served as defensive coordinator on the staffs at South Carolina, Clemson, Arkansas, Louisiana-Lafayette and Middle Tennessee State.  He also was an assistant at several other colleges, including Duke and North Carolina State.

         Hough posted a 10-2 record during the 2013 season.
