HOLLY SPRINGS—Holly Springs High School did not move too far away to name a new men’s head basketball coach, according to various media reports including HighSchoolOT.com.

         Richard Young, who has been coaching the women’s team at Holly Springs for the past two seasons, will move over to coach the men’s program starting in 2014-15.  He will replace Thurman Jordan at the helm.

         Young guided the Golden Hawks to a record of 41-12 during his tenure as women’s basketball coach.  Prior to going to Holly Springs, Young served as an assistant coach on the men’s side at Apex.
