WINSTON-SALEM—Everett Hancock has been named as the new head baseball coach at North Forsyth, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
Hancock comes to North Forsyth after serving as the head baseball coach at Forsyth Country Day in 2012 and then an assistant baseball coach at Caldwell Academy in Greensboro in 2013.
A native of Havelock, Hancock pitched for the University of North Carolina Greensboro and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 2002. He played one season of professional baseball and then came back to UNCG to finish his degree.
He previously had served as an assistant baseball coach at Ragsdale from 2004 to 2010. He has also coached with Impact Baseball.
