Each year at the NCHSAA Annual Awards event, we recognize individuals for their influence on officiating in North Carolina by presenting the Golden Whistle Awards. Criteria for the award include demonstrated leadership, performance, service, and training that benefit officiating.
Nominees should possess officiating abilities emulated by fellow officials, be regarded as a person of integrity and character, and have a minimum of 10 years of experience as an active official.
