BURLINGTON— Carter Gerlach is returning to coaching once again, according to the Burlington Times-News.
Gerlach, who is the school athletic director, will serve as the interim men’s basketball coach, replacing Wayne Stevens. Stevens served as Western Alamance head coach for four years but has taken a position in administration in South Carolina.
Gerlach has coached at Western in two different stints, spanning a total of nine different seasons, the most recent of which was the 2008-09 campaign. He is a 1986 graduate of Western Alamance.
