REIDSVILLE— George “Buck” Macklin, who spent a lifetime in education, passed away on Monday at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro at the age of 59.

Macklin worked at Reidsville High School and Greensboro Dudley in administration and also was an elementary school principal. He also served as an assistant superintendent in the Brunswick County schools for a number of years.

A service celebrating George’s life will be held at Reidsville High School on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
