Football Coach Leaving Northern Guilford

        GREENSBORO–  Northern Guilford High School is looking for a new head football coach, according to a press release from the school.

         Robert Brian Thomas, head coach at Northern Guilford, has announced that he will be leaving the Guilford County school to take the head football position at North Augusta High School in South Carolina.

         In a statement, athletic director Brian Thomas thanked coach Thomas for his service to Northern Guilford and the football program, and said “Northern would like to wish Coach Thomas and his family all the best in the future.”

         Thomas was head coach for one season after serving as an assistant at Northern Guilford under head coach Johnny Roscoe, who guided the Nighthawks to NCHSAA state crowns in 2010, ’11 and ’12 before retiring.
