ENKA—Jeff Frady has been named as the new head football coach at Enka High School, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.
Frady, 35, has been in Henderson County as a coach for the last 13 years, including at North Henderson and the last eight years at East Henderson. He served as the offensive coordinator at East Henderson last year.
Frady, who is a 1996 graduate of Enka replaces Manny Matsakis, who resigned in March after three seasons and is now coaching on the college level in Kansas.
The new Enka coach has also coached high school baseball, serving as the baseball coach at East Henderson for seven seasons. Enka’s Jets are looking for their first winning football season since 1997.
