EAST FLAT ROCK—John McMillan has been named the new head football coach at East Henderson High School, according to various media reports including the Hendersonville Times-News.
McMillan has served as the offensive line coach for the last two years at Mars Hill College and coached high school football in Georgia for 17 years prior to that, including five years as head coach at Pike County (Ga).
McMillan replaces Steve Whitt, who resigned from the post in December.
The Eagles were 0-11 on the field last year but later received a forfeit victory to wind up officially at 1-10.
