            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, freshmen Taylor Marley and Amanda McCurry scored goals to lead Southwest Onslow to a 2-0 victory over Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy in the NCHSAA state 1-A women's soccer championship at Dail Soccer Field at N.C. State. Marley was named the championship MVP as Southwest won its second state title in three years.
