            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Kyle Johnson of Charlotte Catholic became the only singles tennis player in NCHSAA history to win four consecutive state championships. Johnson won the 3-A title for the fourth straight time with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Matt Daly of Cardinal Gibbons in the championship at the Burlington Tennis Center.
