            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Charles B. Aycock High School was a part of a baseball slugfest when the Golden Falcons and Bertie combined for 38 hits (19 apiece) in Aycock’s 18-16 10-inning victory.

            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, West Iredell High School pitcher Luke Elliott tossed a perfect seven-inning baseball game as West Iredell blanked Statesville 7-0.  Elliott fanned 10 while not allowing a Greyhound batter to reach base.
