            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, North Mecklenburg’s Mike Cavasinni swiped six stolen bases against Olympic in a high school baseball contest.


April 14, 1999

            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, J.D. McNeill  of Pinecrest High School fired a nine under par 62 in a high school golf match at Southern Pines Country Club. The par 71 layout was at 6268 yards. McNeill had one eagle, nine birdies, and two bogeys in the match that included Union Pines, O'Neal School and Red Springs.
