On this day in history in the NCHSAA, North Buncombe’s Kristy Ray’s streak of consecutive made free throws came to an end. During a seven game stretch, Ray sunk an impressive 40 consecutive free throws, which is tops in NCHSAA history and ranks in the top-10 all-time nationally.
