CREEDMOOR—Don Colgan, the athletic director at South Granville High School, has been named as the school’s head football coach, according to the Raleigh News and Observer.
Colgan has served as the athletic director at South Granville for the last two and a half years and had been the head football coach at Granville Central for three seasons before that.
Colgan will take over for Mike Hobgood as coach, who is now the head coach at Leesville Road.
South Granville has won nine games in each of the last two seasons.
The new head football coach is a graduate of Indiana University in Pennsylvania.
