CHAPEL HILL—Chapel Hill High School has named new head coaches in men’s and women’s soccer and softball, according to a number of media reports including the Durham Herald-Sun.
Long-time assistant Jason Curtis has been elevated to the head soccer positions. Greg Cain will take over the softball program.
Curtis has served as an assistant to long-time coach Ron Benson since 1999. Chapel Hill’s women’s team won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 3-A championship in Benson’s last game as head coach in May.
Cain has most recently been coaching baseball and softball at Smith Middle School in Chapel Hill. He previously had coached swimming at Chapel Hill and had a stint coaching baseball at Greensboro Page.
