On this day in history in the NCHSAA,  Gastonia Forestview outscored Bessemer City 58-42 in one of the highest scoring high school football games in Gaston County history. Dominique Adams of Forestview set a Gaston County record with 338 yards rushing in 23 carries, rushing for six touchdowns and adding a seventh score on a punt return.
