On this day in history in the NCHSAA, T.C Roberson’s Shawn Alexander lit up the scoreboard by dropping an NCHSAA men’s basketball championship game record 41 points, including making seven of 12 from behind the arc, in a 77-72 loss to Goldsboro in the NCHSAA 3-A state basketball final. His seven three-pointers and 41 points are also NCHSAA Smith Center championship records.
