On this day in history in the NCHSAA, senior midfielder Lindsay Redfearn scored with 27 seconds remaining in the first sudden death overtime period as Swansboro edged Forbush in dramatic fashion 2-1 in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s women’s 2-A soccer championship at Paul Derr Stadium at N.C. State.
