Carrboro Head Football Coach Leaving School

CARRBORO– Jason Tudryn has resigned as teacher and head football coach at Carrboro High School, according to information from the school.

He has accepted a position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as Director of High School Relations for the UNC football program.

Tudryn has been the head football coach at Carrboro since the school opened in 2007.  Tudryn led the program from that beginning, as Carrboro struggled to win games as many new football programs do,  the whole way to competing in the NCHSAA state championship game in 2012.

According to athletic director April Ross, Carrboro anticipates naming a head coach by early June.

“We wish Coach Tudryn much success in his new endeavors,” said Ross.  “He is a dedicated professional who has a tremendous work ethic and commitment to excellence. He will be truly missed by the Carrboro community.”
