BREVARD—Brevard High School has named its new head volleyball coach, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.

The school has promoted assistant coach Cori Bryson to serve as the head coach of its volleyball team.

Bryson has been on the Blue Devils’ coaching staff for the past four years, serving as an assistant on the varsity team as well as the head coach of the junior varsity program. She was a college volleyball player at Brevard College from 2006 to 2010.

She will replace Jessica Merrill, who resigned in January after compiling a 63-58 record in five years.
