CHAPEL HILL—The North Carolina High School Athletic Association saw a 4.73 percent increase in overall participation during the 2023-2024 school year from the previous year. A long-time official of 60 years, Jerry Daniels, passes away
A wrestling official for six decades, Daniels began refereeing after leaving the military and remained active until 2014. Additionally, he served as an instructor at the Appalachian State University summer wrestling camps for over forty years.
