Albemarle Football Coach Resigns

ALBEMARLE—Doug Talbert has resigned as head football coach at Albemarle, according to a report in the Stanly News and Press.

Albemarle will now be looking for its fourth head coach in four years, according to the story.  Talbert had been a part of the staff at Albemarle for 11 years, including 10 as an assistant.

The Bulldogs posted an 8-3 record on the field last year, but had to forfeit games due to the use of an ineligible player to wind up officially at 1-10.
