BROUGHTON OUTLASTS GRIMSLEY IN OVERTIME
FOR NCHSAA STATE 4-A MEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
RALEIGH – Junior Brandon Haynes scored two goals in overtime to lift Raleigh Broughton to an exciting 3-2 decision over Greensboro Grimsley in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A men’s soccer championship Saturday night at the Durham Bulls Soccer Stadium at the WRAL Soccer Center.

RALEIGH-- The fifth annual North Carolina High School Athletic Association state invitational cheerleading championships are scheduled for Reynolds Coliseum on the North Carolina State University campus on Saturday.
A record number of over 100 teams have registered for the event.
Competition will be held in 10 different categories. The doors open at 7:30 am and competition will begin at nine o’clock Saturday morning.
Final ADM figures are listed numerically by schools (NCHSAA main page "Select a Topic", then "Realignment 2009-2013). This list includes new schools scheduled to be included in the 2009-2013 realignment.
These numbers were provided by DPI and then adjusted with numbers provided by the school or LEA (Early college, middle college, etc. numbers are included).
RALEIGH—Four championships will be up for grabs on this weekend in the annual North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s state men’s soccer championships.
The games will be played at the Durham Bulls Soccer Stadium at the WRAL Soccer Center in Raleigh. Two games will be played on Friday and two are scheduled for Saturday.
The championship weekend will get underway with the 1-A title match on Friday at 5 p.m., sending the North Carolina School of Science and Math Unicorns from Durham against the Eagles of East Montgomery.
All four North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2007 state volleyball championships were televised and are now available on Time Warner Cable systems across the state.
The games are on available on Carolina Video on Demand, channel 1234, and are free of charge for Time Warner digital subscribers.
Mac Edwards provides play-by-play and former Raleigh Millbrook coach Kathy Stefanou, the state's winningest high school volleyball coach of all time, is the colot commentator.
This year the playoff line will no longer be used for football playoff score reporting. Football scores must be reported using the online score reporting system. If you have questions please check with your athletic director.

RALEIGH – Meagan Tatum of Person led the Rockets to a four-game decision over Charlotte Myers Park in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A volleyball championships on Saturday at Reynolds Coliseum on the N.C. State campus.
Person won the opening game 25-17, lost the second 25-22, and then recorded 25-19 and 25-17 victories to clinch the title.

OWEN WINS THIRD STRAIGHT MEN'S 2-A TEAM TITLE
CLEMMONS --- Black Mountain Charles D. Owen High School won its third North Carolina High School Athletic Association men’s 2-A cross-country championship in action at Tanglewood Park on Saturday.
BURLINGTON – Greensboro Page ran its string of state titles to four in a row with a convincing 5-1 victory over East Chapel Hill in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A women’s dual team tennis championships on Saturday at the Burlington Tennis Center.
Page won the first five singles events and ended its season with a perfect 20-0. East Chapel Hill, which had ended Raleigh Broughton’s string of 12 straight trips to the finals by winning the Eastern Regional title on Thursday, ended 20-3.

BURLINGTON – The 18th annual North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championships in women’s dual team tennis will be contested on Saturday with four titles up for grabs at the Burlington Tennis Center.
RALEIGH – The 32nd edition of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state volleyball championships are slated for Saturday at historic Reynolds Coliseum on the North Carolina State Universtiy campus.
